Alumni
Homecoming BBQ
|
|
(See Snapshots Here)
Over 120 Pointer
alumni enjoyed the 2nd annual Alumni Homecoming BBQ.
Our "Golden
Alumni" for this event were Virginia Combs Fournier from the class of 1934 and Alan Johnson class of 1932, both of
whom attended with family.
The football team
did not disappoint and the win over La Jolla completed a fun night under the
lights.
We hope this
casual event will become a 'must attend' for Pointer Alumni who will gather
groups of classmates to join us.
Did you know that the Lakers played
an exhibition basketball game to dedicate the Boy's gym when it
opened?
(This and other fun facts were
revealed by alums sharing stories at the BBQ!)

computer game called Star Trek at Dana
Junior High "before there were home

terminal to a computer located some where else.
"A group of us used to hang out playing Star Trek and learning
computer programming." Chris is now a senior
system administrator for Oracle Corp and does contract work for Sun
Microsystems. "I like to think that investment in a terminal at
Dana Jr. High paid off, at least for me." Read more: Nystrom
