2012!
We are embarking on a very important Alumni project.
Beginning next week you will receive an email and/or letter asking you to call in to a dedicated
phone line (800 796-3014) to update your PLHS Alumni contact info. Please take the time
to call and make sure we have your correct info.
As you can imagine, our goal of maintaining
current records of 35,000+ Pointer alums is a monumental task. Harris Connect
hosts our online directory and broadcast email system. Once every four years
we work with them to update those records. We could never have access to
the resources and manpower that Harris provides to us, and they do it free
of charge. Harris is a reputable company who maintain secure on-line directories
for major Universities and high schools around the country. They will be
offering a print and CD version of the PLHS directory but you are under no obligation to
purchase it. And when you call you can give them your privacy/security preferences
(ie: no info in the book or CD, hide your info online, email preference,
etc.) The best way to ensure that your info is presented (or not) exactly
as you wish is to call in during the update project.

Help us find our NOTABLE
POINTERS!
There is a ‘Notable alumni’ section in
the Harris print directory. We need an update of our famous/notable/infamous
classmates. (I was scolded last time for leaving some people out…)
All submissions must be in by January
20th.
REUNIONS
The 2012 Reunion list is growing. If you
know of a Reunion event in the planning stages please send in that info.
If you are looking to see if you class has an event planned go to Reunions.
ALUMNI WOMEN’S BASKETBALL GAME
The CIF winning women's Basketball teams from 84-87 are having an
Alumni game vs the Pointer Varsity team. This will also be a fundraiser for
the Coach T scholarship. The date is February 2nd at 6pm in the PLHS gym. As of press time I
had not recieved additional information about this event. Please check the
website for more info which will be posted as soon as I receive it.
