The big news is that our long-anticipated project SCAPE has begun
construction! But there is lots of other activity going on at PLHS
this Spring! In this issue take a look at what is happening on (and
off) campus at PL.

annual Crescendo Gala
May 20th from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m
at the historic
Rosecroft Mansion
This year we will be honoring Jim Trepasso, who taught music to our students for more that 25 years at Correia
Junior High and has been such a positive influence to generations of students on
the Point. And also this year at Crescendo we will have as our Keynote
Speaker,
Ian Campbell , Director of the San Diego
Opera.
All are invited to attend and tickets are $75 each (see attached

Band Boosters Annual Golf
Tournament
June
10th
Riverwalk Golf Course
Our second major fundraiser for the
PLHS Music department is the Band Boosters Annual Golf
Tournament. This year it will be held on Sunday, June
10th at the Riverwalk Golf Course in Mission Valley. Please see
the attached flier and sign up sheet. This is always a fun event and a fun
way to support the band. It would be terrific if you could round up a
foursome and/or just come and join us. Mr. Dally will be playing
too! There are always great prizes and silent auction
items.

for the time being. We have changed our domain name to www.pointerassociation.org to better reflect our nonprofit status. During the transition both
plhsfaa.com and plhsfaa.org will direct you to our website. So change us
in your favorites to www.pointerassociation.org, but if you still see '.com' in use rest assured you can find us
with that extension too!
